Pipeline Inputs

The NMSM Pipeline expects the following data items:

• A .trc file containing marker data for the motion(s) of interest
• A .mot or .sto file containing EMG data
  • required for muscle activation driven simulation
  • optional for torque driven simulation
• A ground reaction force file that works with the OpenSim Inverse Dynamics tool.
• A scaled OpenSim model file (.osim) that corresponds to the other data in this list. This model should satisfy the specific model requirements for the tools that will be used.
  • For full or lower body models, we recommend using the RCNL model available with the pipeline examples, based on the Rajagopal 2016 model

These data are not required to be processed significantly because the Data Preprocessing Tool can be used to:

• Process EMG data
• Synchronously split marker, EMG, and GRF data into specific movements (i.e. individual gait strides)
• Organize the data for use in the NMSM Pipeline Toolsets
