Muscle-tendon Model Personalization

The next step in the NMSM Pipeline is typically Muscle-tendon Model Personalization. MTP requires EMG data, joint kinematics, and joint loads. We have all of these data for the kicking motion, but still cannot use MTP due to a current limitation with the tool.

What limitations of MTP do you think would prevent us from using MTP.

MTP only supports rigid tendon muscle models. Rigid tendons are a valid assumption for slow motions such as gait, but compliant tendon and muscle models are needed for faster motions like kicking or sprinting.

Because we can't calibrate a muscle model for this motion using EMG data, we will need to improvise using NCP in the next step.
